IV Ozone with UVBI

Ozone Therapy Atlanta Clinic - How Our Unique Ozone Process Works For Patients

as a highly reactive form of oxygen has been in medical use across the world for decades.

In one of the most common methods of ozone therapy, some of a patient’s blood is withdrawn and mixed with a carefully measured dose of ozone gas and returned to the patient.

This method is called major auto-hemotherapy (MAH).

In MAH, a measured amount of blood is withdrawn into an IV bag where it interacts with a specific amount of ozone gas, for a specific amount of time. In so doing, it produces a biological effect which leads to a reduction in inflammation, immunomodulation, enhanced blood flow and nutrient exchange.

Think of the interaction of ozone with the withdrawn blood as the first of a series of dominos that eventually produces these effects in a much larger scale in the body. It’s important to note that no ozone is ever introduced into the patients’ bloodstream directly. Rather, it’s the series of events that occur in the body after the ozonated blood is returned to the patient that produces the desired therapeutic effect.

During ultraviolet blood irradiation (UBI), blood is withdrawn as part of a sterile, closed circuit from the patient and uniformly exposed to a carefully calibrated amount of ultraviolet light.

One of the most common use cases for UBI therapy is to address lingering, hidden, or drug-resistent bacterial or viral infection and subsequently induce a secondary immune response.

The Benefit of Combining Ozone Therapy & UVBI at the Same Time

UVBI will help the body heal itself. We combine the benefits of the UV Light with Ozone to maximize the healing benefits you will receive from this wonderful treament. UVBI is used to kill bacteria, viruses, molds and other foreign cells in the body including, in other countries, cancer cells. This helps vitalize and balance the immune system and increases tissue oxygenation by causing vasodilation and increasing microcirculation, both are known to help healing!

During the procedure we remove 60cc of your blood and place it in a saline IV bag. We then add a similar amount of ozone to the bag and shake it. The ozone attaches to the red blood cells. This mixture is then returned to the body passing thru a glass tube in Ultraviolet unit. The UV light kills any foreign cells – bacteria, viruses, molds, and even cancer cells. As these dead cells are still antigenic they stimulate your immune system and forms antibodies to these antigenic particles. The immune system releases these new antibodies to seek out and destroy any similar foreign cells in the rest of your body.

Prolozone Therapy

Ozone Therapy Today has evolved - Hormone, Joint, and Full Body Applications

Prolozone is an oxidative treatment for back and joint pain involving an injection of ozone gas and nutrients into and around the joint space. The body’s healing response to ozone is triggered when degenerative joints are injected with oxygen, vitamins, and minerals.

Prolozone Safety

Ozone-based therapies have been used for decades. It’s effects are proven in the medical literature and its side effects are minimal. Dr. Matalone of Atlanta, GA has been using oxidative ozone therapies for more than a decade and has trained directly with Dr. Frank Shallenberger, the physician who developed and pioneered Prolozone therapy.

Side effects. There are no side effects to this treatment. All of the components of Prolozone are natural; including oxygen, vitamins and minerals. The only medication used is Lidocaine, which causes numbness before the injection.

Conditions Prolozone Treats

Prolozone is very effective in treating musculoskeletal and pain disorders, including:

  • Degenerative joint diseases
  • Arthritis
  • Knee pain
  • Neck pain
  • Back pain (herniated/degenerated discs, sciatica, etc.)
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Sports injuries (tennis elbow & other joint injuries)

How Long It Takes To Get Results

Most patients feel positive results from ozone therapy immediately and continue to experience reduction in pain after each treatment.

Dr. Matalone (our head doctor in the GA clinic) suggests having multiple treatments. It is common for patients to experience significant pain reduction after 6 – 10 treatments. In theory, any healing to connective tissue you experience from ozone therapy is permanent.

Since everyone’s body reacts differently to treatment, it might take a few sessions to achieve noticeable healing from ozone.

What the Procedure Is Like at the Ozone Therapy Atlanta Clinic:

The procedure is as simple and fast as getting small shot. Prolozone is an injection administered with a very tiny needle into the affected area or joint. We take great care in making sure that we do our procedure as painlessly as possible, so that you can be back to action as soon as possible.

Other treatments such as Ozone IV + Vitamin Infusions, regenerative therapy prp, hormone therapy prolozone, or even bio-identical hormone therapy might be considered based upon your reaction to the Prolozone Therapy Injection.
